I am confused as to why he didn't tell Jane that he was the owner of Thornfeild. She was bound to find out sometime when he came to visit. Was he just trying to find out how things are going at Thornfeild or was he afraid to tell her that he is her boss?
I feel like Mr. Rochester didn't reveal himself to Jane right away because he wanted to get to know her a little. If he would of told her he was Mr. Rochester than she wouldv'e acted differently to him. I think he wanted to see how she acted to a stranger before she found out that he was her master.
